Spike and feather ear cuffs c/o Red Wolf Treasures
I was happily surprised to take a peek in my mailbox yesterday. New friends and super rad jewelry designers Jen & Steph sent me these little charms! They are stationed on the west coast and run RED WOLF TREASURES over at Etsy.
I had found their store a while ago, and loved how unique, pretty (with an edge), and affordable everything was. For under $10 you can decorate your ears with tiny guns, crosses, shark teeth, skulls, and more. There are also some baubles of the necklace and bracelet variety as well. I love discovering independent designers, and I can’t wait to rock some cuff action on my ears!
To connect with RWT you can check out their shop, and Facebook!
Wearing vintage dress and hat
I pulled this vintage awesomeness out of my closet a little while back and decided to share it to spread grandma envy. I found this hat in a Salvation Army warehouse for four dollars. I couldn’t tell what era this hat came from because of the style and the materials. It looked very 40’s to me, but the feathers are synthetic and synthetics didn’t come around into popular use until the late 50’s and early 60’s.
I would like to get a better history of this hat but google searching and fishing around etsy haven’t lead to any definite conclusions. For now, I’m happy wearing a ridiculous feather bouffant-like hat on my head with a velvet band.
